Techtextil 2026 to Spotlight Functional Natural Fibres After 15% of Exhibitors Showed Natural Materials at April Edition

At Techtextil 2024, international exhibitors showed future-proof developments for numerous industries in the ‘Nature Performance’ area. For Techtextil 2026, functional natural materials will become even more of a focus.
Techtextil 2026 will expand its focus on functional natural fibres and materials, following the dedicated "Nature Performance" area at the April 2024 edition where more than 15 per cent of exhibitors already showed natural fibres and materials. Exhibitors included Canadian start-up Vegeto with degradable milkweed-based thermal insulation, Turkey's Anatolian Colors with natural dyes, and Swiss start-up OceanSafe with biodegradable circular polyester. The global natural fibres market is expected to grow to around USD 103 million in 2031.
