A technical textiles exporter has asked Chennai Customs for assistance in exporting non-woven fabric used for water filtration. The exporter states that Chennai Customs is blocking the shipment solely because the same fabric can also be used to make masks. The exporter calls the situation atrocious, notes that the customer is demanding a refund, and says the company is not in a position to return the money.
