1. Local Browser Storage
Your personal reading preferences (bookmarks, reading history, light/dark theme preference, language, and industry lens selection) are stored locally within your own browser (localStorage, sessionStorage, and preference cookies). None of this personal reading state is uploaded to or stored on our servers. You can export or import your bookmarks at any time on the Bookmarks page.
Separately, a random browser identifier (pulse_vid) and referral parameters (utm_*, ref) are stored locally in the browser to support anonymous first-party attribution as detailed in Section 3 below.
2. Feedback Submissions
When you submit feedback through our Feedback page, your message, optional email address, the URL of the page you were viewing, and any attached screenshots are transmitted securely to our team to help us investigate and respond. If you provide an email address, we use it solely to reply to your inquiry.
3. Server Logs & First-Party Attribution
Our web servers and reverse proxy record standard technical server logs (including IP address, request timestamp, requested URL, user-agent, and HTTP status code) strictly to maintain platform stability, defend against denial-of-service attacks, and ensure network security.
In addition, the platform records lightweight, privacy-preserving first-party visit attribution to measure aggregate channel traffic and outbound referral efficacy. When attribution events occur, the random browser identifier (pulse_vid) is irreversibly hashed with SHA-256 on our server alongside the landing path, referrer domain, and campaign or sales representative code (rep_code). We do not use any third-party advertising cookies, cross-site behavioral trackers, fingerprinting scripts, or personal identity profiles.

This platform contains links to external original articles and manufacturer websites. Once you click an external link, you are visiting an independent third-party site governed by their own privacy practices and terms.
